The Consul General of the Republic of Uzbekistan met with the Rector of USLU and his fellow countrymen from Uzbekistan

On October, 25, Vladimir Aleksandrovich Bublik, Rector of the USLU named after V.F. Yakovlev, and Abdusalom Kurbonovich Khatamov, Consul General of the Republic of Uzbekistan, met with students from Uzbekistan.

The meeting was held within the framework of the Bachelor’s degree network educational program «International Commercial Law», implemented by the USLU named after V.F. Yakovlev in cooperation with the Tashkent State Law University.

Welcome speech was made by Vladimir Alexandrovich Bublik and Abdusalom Kurbanovich Khatamov.

The meeting was attended by Vice-Rector for Scientific Work Andrey Vladimirovich Vinnitsky, Vice-rector for Administrative and Economic Work and Integrated Security Alexey Viktorovich Shaburnikov, Advisor to the Rector Vasily Leonidovich Poryvaev, Director of the Institute of Law and Business Denis Aleksandrovich Gavrin.

First-year students received the opportunity to communicate with the university administration and get answers to all their questions.

The Director of Institute of Law and Business spoke about the adaptation of students from Central Asia in the educational, cultural and social life of the university. The Consul General of the Republic of Uzbekistan shared his memories of his student years, focused on the need to study with full dedication, to know the Russian language at a high level. Abdusalom Kurbanovich also expressed conviction that students at our university would receive a decent legal education and would make a significant contribution to the development of Uzbekistan and the strengthening of Russian-Uzbek relations.

At the end of the meeting, the parties exchanged gifts. Abdusalom Kurbonovich presented the university with a book about the history of Uzbekistan’s participation in World War II. Vladimir Alexandrovich presented the Consul General of Uzbekistan with a two-volume book dedicated to the centenary of our university.
