The International School of Criminal Procedure begins its work

On September 12, the official opening of the International School of Criminal Procedure took place.

The International School of Criminal Procedure is a unique project that allows scientists from Russia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Belarus and Kyrgyzstan to conduct lectures on topical issues of criminal procedure law.

Within the framework of the International School of Criminal Procedure at the USLU named after V.F. Yakovlev, an educational program «Criminal Procedure of Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States: issues of theory and practice» has been launched.

The introductory speech at the opening of the International School of Criminal Procedure were made by:

   ► Doctor of Law, Head of the Department of Judicial Activity and Criminal Procedure of the USLU named after V.F. Yakovlev, Professor Vladimir Mairovich Bozrov;
   ► Doctor of Law, Professor, Head of the International Cooperation Department of the USLU named after V.F. Yakovlev Kozubenko Yuri Vyacheslavovich;
   ► Doctor of Law, Professor, Head of the Department of Criminal Procedure Law of Tashkent State Law University Bazarova Dildora Bahadirovna;
   ► Head of the International Cooperation Department of the Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus Prannik Tatiana Alexandrovna;
   ► Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor, Deputy Director for scientific and methodological work of the educational institution «Institute for Retraining and Qualification Upgrading of Judges, Prosecutors, Courts and Legal Professionals at the Belarusian State University» Leshchenko Snezhana Konstantinovna.

The first lecture on the topic «The essence and content of justice in the Russian science of criminal procedure» was conducted by Doctor of Law, Head of the Department of Judicial Activity and Criminal Procedure of the USLU named after V.F. Yakovlev, Professor Vladimir Mairovich Bozrov.

In his speech, the lecturer touched upon the content of the concept of «justice» in legislation and science, and also revealed the peculiarities of the administration of justice in criminal cases. Belarusian State University, Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, Tashkent State Law University, Caspian University, Academy of Justice under the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Tajik National University, Kyrgyz National University named after Jusup Balasagyn, Academy of Public Administration under the aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus, Karakalpak State University named after Berdakh, Russian-Armenian University, University of Public Safety of the Republic of Uzbekistan have joined the work of the International School of Criminal Procedure.

The educational program «Criminal Procedure of Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States: issues of theory and practice» will be implemented in the period from October 09, 2023 to June 01, 2024.

Practicing lawyers, judges, advocates and scientists are invited as listeners.
