Principles of the criminal process of the Eurasian States

On November 16, took place the next lecture of the International School of Criminal Procedure.

The International School of Criminal Procedure allows procedural scientists, practitioners, students, undergraduates and postgraduates of law universities and faculties of Russia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Belarus and Kyrgyzstan to discuss topical issues of criminal procedure law.

The lecture on the topic «Principles of the criminal process of the Eurasian states (comparative analysis)» was conducted by the candidate of legal sciences, professor of the Law Enforcement Academy under the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan Vitaly Vyacheslavovich Khan.

In his speech, Vitaly Vyacheslavovich revealed the concept of the principles of criminal procedure, gave their classification, and also clearly showed the differences in the system of principles of criminal procedure legislation of Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Armenia and Uzbekistan.

Of particular interest to the audience was the principle of adversarial parties. The participants of the lecture discussed the possibility of the operation of this principle at the pre-trial stages of criminal proceedings.

► Smanaliev Kynatbek Moynokovich – holder of habilitation degree in law (higher doctorate), professor, Dean of the Faculty of Law of the Kyrgyz National University named after Zh. Balasagyn;
 
► Suyunova Dilbar Zholdasbayevna – holder of habilitation degree in law (higher doctorate), professor of the Department of Criminal Procedure Law of Tashkent State Law University.

In total, more than 50 listeners from different countries joined the lecture.

The moderator of the event was Yuri Vyacheslavovich Kozubenko, holder of habilitation degree in law (higher doctorate), Head of the International Cooperation Department of the USLU named after V.F. Yakovlev.
