The Euro-Asian Law Congress is the most important international arrangement of USLU. Congress was established by the Association of lawyers of Russia in 2007. The Euro-Asian Law Congress was formed as a specific forum where representatives of the state, business, social circles can consider and discuss current issues with professional lawyers.
Professional lawyers-scientists and practitioners from member-states of the Eurasian Economic Community and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, politicians, representatives of state power authority and business are invited to participate in the work of the Congress.
The main forms of the work are the sessions of the Congress that are held on the annual basis. They are held in Ekaterinburg in May. The sessions determine the priority projects for the participants to pay special attention. According to these projects of higher priority the expert groups are formed.
The experts carry out research and project work throughout a year and submit the results for the discussions at the sessions of the Congress. Thematic discussions and meetings of expert groups are held in the framework of the Congress sessions. At present the expert network of the Congress is being formed.
This will make it possible to implement research projects of the Congress and attract more interested specialists to the Congress network interaction. The working languages are Russian and English.
The Executive Committee is set up to provide the arrangement of the experts’ work, the support of the Congress site in the Internet, the preparations for the Congress sessions. The membership of the Executive Committee is approved at the Congress sessions.
The Presidium is formed to hold sessions of the Congress. The Presidium consists of the heads of professional law associations, interstate organizations, state power authorities, and prominent legal scholars and practitioners.
International conference "Kovalyov readings"
The conference has been held by the Department of Criminal Law of Ural State Law University named after V.F. Yakovlev since 2004. Over the years of its existence, the Kovalyov Readings has acquired a truly enormous scale and has become an international platform for discussing topical issues facing the modern international legal community. Over the years, the conference was attended by more than 600 speakers and more than 2000 participants from 20 countries.
International forum "Ural Legal Week"
The Forum will be organized by the Sverdlovsk Regional Branch of the All-Russian Public Organization "Association of Lawyers of Russia", the Commissioner for the Protection of the Entrepreneurs' Rights in the Sverdlovsk region and Ural State Law University named after V.F. Yakovlev.
The participants of the Legal week, based on the existing experience of this annual event, will be representatives of public authorities, legal science, practitioners, including advocates, as well as other interested persons..
International conference "Yakushev readings"
Ural State Law University named after V.F. Yakovlev annually holds the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Yakushev Readings," dedicated to the memory of the prominent Soviet and Russian scientist, talented teacher and organizer of science, one of the founders of the Sverdlovsk school of civil law, economic and legal specialization, the founder of the Department of Entrepreneurial (economic) Law at Ural State Law University named after V.F. Yakovlev, professor Vasily Stepanovich Yakushev.
