International Educational Exhibition in the Republic of Uzbekistan

From September 22 to 24 the Tashkent State University of Economics hosted the International Exhibition-Fair «Russian Education. Tashkent-2022». The organizer of the exhibition is the Representative Office of Federal Agency for International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo) in Uzbekistan. This is one of the largest international exhibitions of Russian universities. This year representatives of 56 universities of Russia came to introduce their educational programs to children. Nikita Vladimirovich Smetanin, Director of the Center for Positioning and Development of International Projects, took part in the exhibition on behalf of USLU named after V. F. Yakovlev.
At the opening ceremony, Oleg Malginov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Mikhail Vozhdaev, Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in Uzbekistan, and Shokhrukh Akbarov, Head of the International Relations Department of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, addressed the guests of the exhibition. They noted the importance of scientific and educational cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan and the necessity to create unique joint projects.
The event, together with teachers and parents, was attended by students of graduating classes of schools, academic lyceums and technical colleges of Uzbekistan, as well as students and graduates of local universities. All those interested in obtaining legal education at the USLU named after V. F. Yakovlev received answers to their questions about admission to our university, their future field of education, conditions of study and residence, as well as about the city of Yekaterinburg.
During the visit to Uzbekistan, a working meeting was also held with the staff of the Tashkent State Law University, which is one of the leading centers for training legal personnel in the CIS and a long-standing academic partner of our university. At this meeting, the issues of implementation of the Bachelor’s degree joint educational program “International Commercial Law”, organization of academic exchange between TSLU and USLU named after V. F. Yakovlev, creation of joint master’s degree programs, as well as scientific interaction were discussed. The parties exchanged views on key issues of cooperation, expressed their wishes and outlined a plan for further work to expand academic relations.
