ACADEMIC EXCHANGE

Within almost a month the students of Institute of Prosecutor’s Office (Mambetova Aizan and Romanova Tatyana) are studying in Caspian University under the academic exchange program.

“It is a great experience to become a student of another university because it let you come across new people, get valuable practice in the sphere of law from Kazakh counterparts.

The university met us with joy and hospitality. After the arrival we had a tour in the university, met our lecturers who were happy to welcome the guests from Russia. All of the lecturers are masters of their craft and kindly help us to get used to legislation which is new for us.

We live in the dormitory with other foreign students who came under the academic exchange as we did. We got along with everybody, even with the post graduate from Germany. Almost every weekend we get together and get acquainted with the national cuisine of each other. So, the students from Karaganda made a traditional Kazakh dish called ‘Beshbarmak’ and ‘Baursaki’. And we made Russian pancakes with different filling to celebrate Maslenitsa (traditional Russian holiday).

Also, we do not forget to visit the sightseeings, see the nature and the culture of Kazakhstan. In the end of February, the university held a tour to the Kolsay Lake and Black Canyon. We were deeply impressed with the paysages!

The spring has come, the weather is fine – that’s why we are able to go hiking in the streets of the city.

Recently, we had a chance to visit ‘Қыз Ұзату’ – Kazakh national rite which is held before the wedding and marks bride’s farewell to another family.

We spend time very efficiently here. Thanks to our Ural State Law University and Caspian University for this wondering opportunity!”

4th year students of Institute of Prosecutor’s Office, Mambetova Aizhan and Romanova Tatyana, are studying in Caspian University under the academic exchange program of Ural State Law University named after V.F. Yakovlev. Future lawyers will study there within the second semester from February to June 2023.
