Professor K. L. Branovitsky became Co-Chairman of the Russian-German Law Institute

It is not the first year that fruitful cooperation has been carried out between Ural State Law University and the Russian-German Law Institute (which includes 5 Russian and 7 Austrian and German universities). Universities conduct joint scientific and educational events at an international level, scientists from Ural State Law University and Russian State Law Institute exchange experience, work on joint projects, etc. Long-term friendship and scientific cooperation between outstanding scientists - prof. V.V. Yarkov (Ekaterinburg) and prof. A. Trunk (Kiel), who trained many lawyers and researchers, developed into the friendship and cooperation of their students – prof. K.L. Branovitsky (Yekaterinburg) and prof. A. Aliev (Halle). They met in Kiel during their studies (2007-2009) and years later, after defending their dissertations and becoming professors, not only did not lose touch, but also decided to develop what their teachers began to build. Thus, since 2018, the two master's degree program "International Economic Law and Process" has been successfully operating between USLU and the Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg, which is led by Doctor of Law, Master of Law LL.M, Professor of the Department of Civil Procedure of Ural State Law University Konstantin Leonidovich Branovitsky. Since 2019, an English-language program "International Economic Law" for foreign students has been launched on the basis of the Institute of State and International Law. In 2020, the famous German Scientific Foundation named after Alexander von Humboldt supported the scientific application of K. L. Branovitsky on the study of the digitalization of the international civil procedure. The research will be conducted for a year and a half together with colleagues from the Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg. In December 2020, according to the results of an open vote of the general meeting of the RSLI participants, Konstantin Leonidovich Branovitsky became the co-chairman of the Russian-German Law Institute on the Russian side. Thus, for the first time since the establishment of RSLU, our colleague was entrusted with the leadership of the highly respected scientific platform of Russian-German cooperation, which opens up new opportunities for USLU to strengthen and develop bilateral contacts.
