Preparatory Institute (Faculty) is a department of Ural State Law University named after V.F. Yakovlev. It continues the traditions of pre-university training. This tradition originated back in 1931 at the Siberian Institute of Soviet Law. It is based on the principle of continuous education. Aim of Preparatory Faculty is to prepare students for their future study at USLU.

- Russian language as the foreign language (for students who don’t know Russian language);
- Courses for preparing for Entering exams to get bachelor or master degree (for students who know Russian language).
Forms of education: - offline (in person);
- online (distance form).

- eligible clear high-quality scan or photo of your international passport;
- scan of your secondary school certificate with the academic transcript or a scan of your Bachelor's diploma with the academic transcript;
- a filled out application form;
- a brief motivation letter (in English or another language).

All questions can be directed at the Preparatory Institute (Faculty):

- high-quality study of Russian as a foreign language;
- psychological preparation for study in a new socio-cultural environment, acquaintance with Russian traditions, immersion in Russian culture;
- support for foreign citizens before and during the entire period of education on all issues: visa processing, settlement, everyday and educational issues, etc.;
- bright and intense extracurricular activities (walking around the city, visiting theaters and museums, participating in USLU events, etc.).

 Class days: four days a week, two hours a day, day time according to Yekaterinburg (GMT+5)

 Courses on preparation for computer testing conducted at the USLU
(knowledge of Russian language is required)

 Form of education: full-time
 Courses of study: Russian language, social studies and the history of Russia
 Period of study: October 2022 – May 2023
 Program scope: 214 academic hours, of them:
 Russian language – 58
 Social studies – 78
 History of Russia – 78
 Class days: schedule yet not confirmed, educational group set required.
