Issuing a visa invitation to enter the Russian Federation
Step 1. Self-familiarization with the procedure of visa processing in the Russian House/The Embassy of the Russian Federation in your country.
Step 2. Issuing a visa invitation to enter the Russian Federation.
Visa invitation processing takes at least 30 days.
An application for an invitation to enter the Russian Federation is issued by the International Cooperation Department of the USLU named after V.F. Yakovlev (hereinafter - ICD).
To apply for an invitation, you need to provide the ICD with a scanned copy of the first two pages of your passport and their translation.
You provide all the information necessary for processing an application for an invitation to the employees of the ICD in one of the following ways:

personally at the address: Yekaterinburg, Komsomolskaya Street 23, office 202;

The staff of the ICD will inform you about the readiness of the invitation to enter the Russian Federation.
Step 3. Obtaining a single-entry visa.
After receiving the invitation, you apply to the Russian House/The Embassy of the Russian Federation in your country and get a single-entry visa. With a single-entry visa, you can enter the territory of the Russian Federation.
Step 4. Migration registration.
After you have entered the territory of the Russian Federation, you need to register for migration within 7 days.
Please note that you can stay on the territory of the Russian Federation for as long as your single-entry visa is valid.
Step 5. Obtaining a multiple-entry visa.
In order for you to continue your studies, you need to apply for a multiple-entry visa. To do this, 50 days before the end of your valid single-entry visa, you need to prepare and submit the following documents to the ICD:

Original passport;

Migration card;

Form of notification of migration registration;

Receipt of payment of state duty;

Photo (3X4);

An agreement on the provision of paid educational services or a certificate of training from the Dean’s Office or the Postgraduate Department;

Certificate of absence of HIV infection.
ICD employees will send documents for its extension to the migration service no later than 30 days before the expiration of the valid visa.
If you have no grounds for extending your stay on the territory of the Russian Federation, you are obliged to leave the territory of the Russian Federation before the end of your stay.
